Product Features

DEAPA contains highly active primary amines and catalytically active tertiary amines, the presence of both primary amine (active hydrogen) and tertiary amine groups makes it effective as a reactive curing agent and a catalytic promoter.

DEAPA has a strong alkaline property. DEAPA can be used as an effective catalyst and neutralizer.

The ethyl and propyl chains in the DEAPA molecule. When used as a curing agent component, they can provide better flexibility and impact resistance for the final product (such as epoxy resin).

 


 

Application

Epoxy curing agent: The core application of DEAPA. N, N-Diethyl-1,3-propanediamine - DEAPA, as a medium-temperature curing agent, is used in fields such as adhesives, coatings, flooring, and composite materials. Its molecular structure can provide excellent toughness and flexibility for the cured epoxy resin. The tertiary amine group also has a self-catalytic effect on epoxy curing.

Electronic chemicals (Etching solution): This is a new application of DEAPA. N, N-Diethyl-1,3-propanediamine - DEAPA is used as a cleaning agent in the electronics industry and as an etching solution for LCD panels.

Industrial Applications: N,N-Diethyl-1,3-propanediamine -DEAPA- is used in the synthesis of various fine chemicals, such as surfactants, dyes, drugs and ion-exchange resins.


 

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, its high flammability and corrosivity are the most critical hazards to manage. Furthermore, its ability to cause sensitization upon skin contact necessitates strict personal protective equipment (PPE) during handling.
