Product Features

 

Under ambient temperature and pressure, EOPA is a colorless and transparent liquid with a relatively low flash point of approximately 32 °C. Classified as a flammable liquid.

The primary amino group (-NH) in its molecular structure endows EOPA with basicity. It can react with acids to form salts and undergo typical amine reactions such as acylation and alkylation. The ether linkage (-O-) in its molecular structure enhances its solubility in organic solvents.

Equipped with both a hydrophilic amino group and a lipophilic ethoxy group, EOPA serves as a high-performance intermediate and solvent, capable of achieving an excellent balance between water solubility and oil solubility. Meanwhile, the primary amino group provides high reactivity, facilitating its participation in various chemical synthesis processes.




Application

 

Dye IndustryThis constitutes its most core application. As a key intermediate, it is used in the synthesis of disperse dye intermediates.

Etching SolutionsEOPA can be applied in the electronic chemicals industry for etching and cleaning purposes.

Other Organic SynthesisEOPA is available for the synthesis of other fine chemicals, such as ethoxy-3-isocyanato-propane.

From a safety perspective, EOPA is characterized by significant corrosivity and flammability,it is irritating and corrosive to the skin and eyes, and contact may cause burns. EOPA is classified as a flammable liquid, and its vapors can form explosive mixtures with air.Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.
