Product Features
Hydrogenated Tallow Alkyl Amine is a white or slightly yellow waxy solid or flaky crystal at room temperature, with excellent thermal stability. It is alkaline and can react with acids to form corresponding amine salts. Due to the hydrogenation treatment of its carbon chains, it has a high degree of saturation, thus exhibiting greater chemical stability than unsaturated amines (e.g., oleylamine). The long carbon chain of Hydrogenated Tallow Alkyl Amine provides hydrophobicity, while the amino group serves as a hydrophilic head, making it a high-efficiency surfactant precursor with strong adsorption capacity at interfaces.
Application
Surfactant Intermediate：It reacts with ethylene oxide to produce nonionic surfactants, which are used as textile leveling agents and penetrants.
Mineral Flotation：As a collector, it is used for the flotation separation of minerals such as zinc oxide, lead ore, mica, feldspar, potassium chloride, and potassium carbonate.
Agriculture：It is used as a fertilizer anti-caking agent to prevent fertilizer particles from caking.
Other Applications：It is used as an asphalt emulsifier.
Safety and Storage
From a safety perspective, it is irritating and corrosive to the skin and eyes, and contact may cause burns. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
In case of skin contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.Stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition, heat, and oxidizing agents, and separated from incompatible substances such as acids.
