Product Features

D1022 appears as a white crystalline powder or crystals in high-purity grade at ambient temperature, while the industrial grade typically presents as a pale yellow solid. It is readily soluble in ethanol and isopropanol. The solid product is hygroscopic and requires airtight storage to prevent deliquescence. It is chemically stable but incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Its activity is reduced in the presence of nonionic detergents.

D1022 possesses highly effective bactericidal and disinfectant properties, as well as excellent phase-transfer catalytic performance. Its double long-chain alkyl structure imparts high lipophilicity and strong hydrophobicity.

Application

Water Treatment & Industrial Cleaning: Used as a bactericide-algicide, slime stripper, and cleaning agent in systems such as industrial circulating water.

Aquaculture & Animal Husbandry: Employed for disinfecting farm environments, drinking water, equipment, and animal surfaces, and for degrading organic matter in water bodies to reduce the need for water replacement.

Household Disinfection & Mold Prevention: Functions as a disinfectant, deodorant, and antimicrobial/mold inhibitor.

Chemical Synthesis: Serves as an asymmetric phase-transfer catalyst in organic synthesis reactions, such as ruthenium trichloride-catalyzed oxidation reactions.

Dyeing Promoter: Used as a dyeing promoter for silk with reactive dyes. Its required concentration is low (only 0.8-1.8 g/L), significantly lower than that of common inorganic salts, and it does not require additional inorganic salts. It demonstrates effective dye promotion, resulting in high dye uptake and fixation rates for reactive dyes. This process avoids the generation of wastewater with high chromaticity and high salt content, thereby greatly improving dye utilization and substantially reducing the treatment load of dyeing effluent.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, D1022 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
