Product Features

 

1432 is a white crystalline powder or crystals in high-purity grade at ambient temperature, while the industrial grade is typically a pale yellow paste. It is readily soluble in isopropanol and soluble in water (with a solubility of approximately 20 g/100 mL). Its aqueous solution generates significant foam upon shaking. The compound is hygroscopic and exhibits irritant properties.

Chemically stable, it offers good resistance to heat, light, acids, and alkalis, maintaining stability across a wide range of temperatures and pH levels, which makes it suitable for diverse application scenarios. It integrates multiple functions such as emulsification, antistatic action, sterilization/disinfection, softening/conditioning, and penetration, making it a highly effective multifunctional additive.

It demonstrates good compatibility with cationic, non-ionic, and amphoteric surfactants. However, it is incompatible with anionic surfactants, as their combination leads to precipitation. Its critical micelle concentration (CMC) is approximately 4-5 mM (at 20-25).

 



Application

 

Household & Personal Care: Used as a disinfectant, bactericide (in cleansing and care products), conditioner for hair rinses, and deodorant agent.

Textile Industry: Employed as an antistatic agent and softening agent for the treatment of synthetic fibers, natural fibers, and glass fibers.

Industrial Additives: Serves as a phase-transfer catalyst (in organic synthesis), and as an emulsifier for rubber, silicone oils, and asphalt.

Analytical & Scientific Research: Utilized as an ion-pair chromatography reagent and a surfactant for scientific research.

Other Industries: Applied in flux and solder paste to provide surface-active properties; used as a component in anionic detergent formulations.




Safety and Storage

 

From a safety perspective, 1432 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
