Product Features

 

LTAC appears as a pale yellow to yellow viscous liquid at room temperature, with the specific form possibly varying slightly depending on factors such as product purity, production process and storage conditions. It has good solubility: it is soluble in water and ethanol, and can dissolve in both acidic and alkaline solutions, maintaining good stability in different pH environments. Its Krafft point is below 0°C, which enables it to retain excellent solubility in aqueous solutions even at low temperatures without easy precipitation, facilitating storage and use over a wide temperature range. The quaternary ammonium salt groups in its molecular structure impart a positive charge, making it easy to adsorb onto negatively charged surfaces such as metals, fabrics, skin and hair.

Multifunctionality:The amide groups contained in the molecule endow it not only with the characteristics of conventional cationic surfactants but also with excellent permeability, emulsifying properties, softness, antistatic properties and bactericidal performance, making it a multifunctional additive.

Compatibility and Synergism:It has good compatibility and synergistic effects with other types of surfactants (including anionic, cationic and non-ionic ones), and can improve foam performance and system viscosity.

Environmental Friendliness:Compared with some traditional long-chain quaternary ammonium salts, it is more easily degradable in daily chemical applications, offering certain environmental advantages. Meanwhile, it can maintain the wettability of hair and has better water solubility.

High Efficiency:It still retains good solubility in salt solutions and the ability to reduce surface tension, with effects superior to some other types of surfactants (e.g., 1231). It has strong adsorption on skin or hair in applications, and can exert its effects even at low dosages.




Application

 

Daily Chemical Industry:Lauramidopropyltrimonium Chloride is a mild cationic surfactant derived from natural fatty acids, with excellent permeability, antistatic properties and bactericidal performance, and is often used in various exfoliating products. Our newly launched improved product: Lauroyl-PG Trimethylammonium Chloride has better skin-friendly moisturization and reduced dryness compared with LATC.

Textile Industry:Serving as an antistatic agent and textile auxiliary, it is used for fabric treatment, and the treated fabrics can still maintain good water absorption.

Metal Treatment Industry:As a metal interface treatment agent, especially used as a cleaning agent in the carbon steel industry, it can effectively clean metal surfaces.

Mineral Flotation:In the mining industry, it acts as a flotation agent for the separation and purification of minerals.

Oilfield and Pesticide Industries:In the oilfield industry, it can be used as an emulsifier and dispersant; in the pesticide industry, it can serve as an emulsifier, dispersant and bactericide.




Safety and Storage

 

From a safety perspective, LTAC is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
