Structural Formular
Product Features
D1821 appears as a white to slightly yellow paste, solid granules or flakes at room temperature. Its specific morphology is affected by purity and temperature. It features stable chemical properties, but decomposes at high temperatures (>135℃) and generates toxic, corrosive fumes. It exhibits excellent compatibility with cationic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants. However, it is incompatible with anionic surfactants when directly compounded, as this will result in precipitation. It can significantly reduce surface tension and possesses favorable emulsifying, dispersing, antistatic and solubilizing properties. D1821 can be efficiently adsorbed onto the negatively charged fiber surface, remarkably improving the bulkiness and softness of fabrics while providing good antistatic effects. It also demonstrates excellent emulsifying capacity for various oils, asphalt and other substances.
Application
extile Industry：It is mainly used as the main component of fabric softeners for household and industrial applications.
Daily Chemical Industry：It serves as a conditioning ingredient in hair conditioners, cosmetics and some personal care products.
Construction and Building Materials：It is used as an asphalt emulsifier.
Other Industrial Additives：It acts as a coating agent for organic bentonite in the preparation of organoclay, featuring thickening and high temperature resistance properties; it is used as an auxiliary decolorant in the sugar industry; it functions as a flocculant in water treatment; it can also be applied for emulsification and dispersion of pigments and dyes.
Safety and Storage
From a safety perspective, D1821 is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.
In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.
It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
