Product Features

At room temperature, 1231 appears as a colorless to pale yellow transparent colloid, liquid, or white powder. Its appearance and form vary significantly depending on the content. It is readily soluble in water, ethanol, and isopropanol aqueous solutions. 1231exhibits stable chemical properties, with resistance to heat, light, pressure, strong acids, and strong bases. It remains stable below 100°C and should not be heated above 120°C for an extended period. It has good compatibility with cationic and non-ionic surfactants, but is incompatible with anionic surfactants. 1231 integrates multiple properties including penetration, emulsification, antistatic effects, and bactericidal activity, and possesses excellent ability to reduce surface tension.

Application

Bactericidal Disinfectant:Serving as a bactericide and disinfectant for industrial and agricultural applications, it is used in industrial water treatment, oilfield water injection, disinfection of silkworm rooms and tools, as well as sterilization of food machinery and equipment. It acts as a bactericidal algaecide and slime stripper in industrial water treatment systems.

Antistatic Agent:As an antistatic agent for synthetic fibers, it can effectively eliminate static electricity.

Emulsifier:It functions as an asphalt emulsifier, rubber emulsifier (a dedicated emulsifier for cationic neoprene latex), and an emulsifier for high-temperature water-in-oil emulsified mud in deep well drilling; it is also an emulsifier for the production of architectural coatings.

Industrial Additive:In the latex industry, it is used as an anti-adhesive and release agent; in penicillin fermentation, it serves as a protein coagulant; in metal extraction, it is applied to the separation of rare earth elements.

Daily Chemicals:It is used as an emulsifier and conditioner in hair conditioners and cosmetics; it also acts as a bactericidal disinfectant for household use, agriculture, food machinery, etc.

Phase Transfer Catalyst:As a phase transfer catalyst, it is employed in organic synthesis (e.g., as a transfer catalyst in the manufacturing of p-aminophenol via nitro reduction rearrangement).

Other Fields:It is used in fire-extinguishing foaming agents, metal cleaning agents, and corrosion inhibitors.

Safety and Storage

From a safety perspective, 1231is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
