Product Features

 

At room temperature, EAB is a colorless to pale yellow transparent viscous liquid. It is readily soluble in water with good solubility. In acidic media (low pH), it exhibits cationic properties, while in alkaline media (high pH) it displays anionic behavior, enabling stable compatibility with various surfactants over a wide pH range. EAB demonstrates excellent resistance to temperature, salt, and hard water. Its viscoelastic system can withstand temperatures of 90 to 110, and when compounded, it can even tolerate high temperatures up to 130.

The longer carbon chain and unsaturated double-bond structure of EAB often provide advantages in thickening capability, temperature resistance, and the formation of highstrength viscoelastic systems, especially in demanding oilfield stimulation applications.

 



Application

 

Oilfield Extraction (Core Application): Used as the main agent, gelling agent, and viscoelastic surfactant (VES) in selfdiverting acid systems for oil and gas fields. During acidizing operations, as the acid reacts with the rock and the pH rises, the fluid viscosity increases, enabling fluid diversion, controlling fluid loss, and extending the effective treatment distance. It can also serve as an enhanced oil recovery agent, achieving ultralow interfacial tension with crude oil even in alkalifree conditions, thereby improving oil displacement efficiency.

Personal Care and Household Products: Leveraging its mildness, antistatic properties, and thickening capabilities, it is employed as a conditioning agent, wetting agent, antistatic agent, foaming agent, and thickener in products such as shampoos and conditioners.

Textile and Industrial Fields: Used as an antistatic agent and softening agent in the textile industry. In industrial cleaning, it functions as an emulsifier, thickener, etc.




Safety and Storage

 

From a safety perspective, EAB is irritating to the skin and eyes. Strict personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn during handling to avoid direct contact.

In case of skin or eyes contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes and seek medical assistance.

It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated indoor place, protected from moisture and strictly guarded against exposure to sunlight.
